NATIONAL HEALTH CARE ANTI-FRAUD ASSOCIATION

Founded in 1985 by several private health insurers and federal and state government officials, NHCAA is the leading national organization focused exclusively on the fight against health care fraud. Their members comprise more than 100 private health insurers and those public-sector law enforcement and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over health care fraud committed against both private payers and public programs.
ACCREDITED HEALTH CARE FRAUD INVESTIGATOR
In 2002, NHCAA established the AHFI- “Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator” program. It is a unique professional designation granted by the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association to individuals who meet certain qualifications related to professional experience, specialized training, formal education and demonstrated knowledge in the detection, investigation and/or prosecution of health care fraud.
