Alabama:

The Alabama Board of Pharmacy is updating rules for remote pharmacies. The amendment would clarify that managing pharmacies placing remote Automated Dispensing Units (ADUs) would need approval from the Board, as well as notifying the Board when additional ADUs are placed. Proposed language should be available in the June Administrative Monthly. (Rule 680-X-2-.18)

The Idaho Board of Pharmacy has issued a notice that all drug outlets and prescribers dispensing controlled substances in or into Idaho must report specific data to the Idaho PMP Clearinghouse by the end of the next business day. Supervising physicians must be in the same medical office as the SMG and immediately available to provide assistance and guidance to the SMG for the duration of the delegated duty. Effective immediately.

Oregon:

A title change has been issued for PA professionals. “Physician Assistants” has been changed to “Physician Associates” beginning 06/06/2024 due to the passage of OR HB 4010. This title change aligns with the change of the title of the AAPA to the American Academy of Physician Associates on May 24, 2021. This change does not alter a PA’s scope of practice in Oregon.
