VERISYS SUPPORTS CRADLES TO CRAYONS IN BOSTON

While in Boston for HCCA Compliance Institute, Verisys’ Compliance Officer, Jennifer Gillespie and VP of Operations, Amy Andersen helped make life better for local Boston children in need by participating in the Cradles to Crayons donation drive. Verisys loves supporting worthwhile causes and donated 24 youth hoodies in support of Cradles to Crayons.
Cradles to Crayons® leads the way in filling an unrecognized yet critical gap in services for families in low-income and poverty situations. They recognize that basic needs such as weather-appropriate clothing, shoes and books are as important as food and shelter. By providing these items, Cradles to Crayons enables children to participate more fully in school and daily activities.
“This is an organization that helps more than 100,000 children every year that are homeless or in emergent situations. It was so great to be there with leaders from health care companies all over the country, giving back,” Amy remarked.
Collecting new and like-new items for children from newborn through age 12, Cradles to Crayons seeks thousands of dedicated volunteers to process and package the donated items into KidPacks. These packs are then distributed free of charge through a collaborative, statewide network of social service agencies and school partners.
